Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has lambasted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his opposition to Special Intensive Revision ( SIR) and the ECI.
Speaking to the media here on Friday, Maurya said, “Rahul Gandhi has a disease that’s why he keeps saying things like, ‘The ink is bad’, or ‘Votes are being stolen’. He doesn’t go among the public, and when he loses an election, he questions the Election Commission.”

“Elections cannot be won by blaming the system. Elections are won only by working for the people and reaching out to them,” he added.
He further said, “When the truth comes out, many will feel a pang of pain. The Somnath Temple was looted multiple times. The Shivalinga was buried under the stairs. We must know this history. Only if we know it, will we remain vigilant. The truth should not be hidden. It should be kept in the public eye; history and heritage must be remembered. This makes us cautious for the future.”
On the ongoing SIR , he said that parties with active workers are engaged in this purification. “The BJP has workers, so they are getting the work done in SIR. The SP has goons, how can they get the work done in SIR? The country’s history was golden, its present is golden, and its future is also golden. Seeing this, the Opposition is bewildered,” he said.
On the question of Operation Sindoor, he said, “Our Army is fully prepared to respond to any terrorist attack within the country. It will kill and tear apart terrorists. Whether the enemy of the country is hiding within the country or in another country, the Army will find and kill them.”
Earlier, Deputy CM Maurya inaugurated India Food Expo 2026 in Gomtinagar. Speaking on the occasion he said, “If anyone extends a helping hand in the industrial sector today, the government responds with even greater support. Uttar Pradesh is full of potential today and the state is one of the world’s fastest-growing economies. What we’re doing now is for our domestic market. Technology has improved today. Therefore, we need to work faster and better.”
